Knitting, dyeing, finishing and testing are where the fabric gets built. Cutting, sewing and finishing are where the garment gets made. We run both ends of that chain, not just the one that makes for better photos.

Cut, make, trim: you supply the fabric, and we cut, make and trim the garment. Full package: we source or knit the fabric, develop the product and make it. Either way, what we deliver is a finished piece, not a roll of fabric.

03 · Knitting

Warp, circular and seamless. That is the difference between a tee factory and a bra factory.

Circular knitting makes the workhorse fabrics: jersey, interlock, rib and mesh. Warp knitting makes the structured ones: tricot, powernet and stable-stretch, the fabrics behind bras, shapewear and swim. Seamless knitting builds the garment as a tube, with no side seams.

A floor that runs warp, circular and seamless can build a range across categories without handing part of it to another mill.

12 · Questions buyers ask

The short answers.

What machines do you knit on?

Warp, circular and seamless machines. Circular knitting covers jersey, interlock, rib and mesh. Warp knitting covers tricot, powernet, stable-stretch and mesh. Seamless knitting builds the garment with no side seams. We do not publish machine counts or brands. The floor is open to visitors if you want to see the machines for yourself.

Who dyes the fabric?

Dyeing runs within the group. Ohzehn operates through a group of facilities in Fuzhou that we own or hold ownership stakes in, knitting and finishing, dyeing, and an on-site testing lab, which lets us dye to our own standards. The dye house and the on-site testing lab have passed major retailer vendor audits. PFAS-free chemistry, no fluorinated DWR.

Do you cut and sew, or only make fabric?

Both, and the garment is the point, not a side service. Ohzehn Textiles is a full package apparel manufacturer. We manufacture activewear, intimates and lace, swim and basics. Work cut, make, trim, where you supply the fabric, or full package, where we source or knit the fabric, develop the product and run the program. Seams are flatlock, bonded or coverstitch, chosen for what the garment has to do.

Where is the factory?

Our own mill is in Fuzhou, Fujian, in China. We publish the city, not the street. Ohzehn Textiles sits downstream of LFT, the Fuzhou knitting group at lftltd.com, and brings brands into that group. Visitors are welcome, and we book mill visits.
